How to display products by category on a page without scroller?

    The documentation shows how to create product categories and add products which are displayed by category on the bottom scroller. Is there the functionality to display products by category on a page with excerpts and 'more' link to take you to the individual product post with the full details of the product instead of the products linking to an external link or having to do it manually?

    I thought PRODUCT PRESENTATION feature in the theme would allow one to view the products on the page by category and not necessarily via the scroller.

    You can make your own product page. And then linking product in scroller to this page.

    Patrik, how do I have the page pull the category and list the products? I see a Posts Shortcode where you can list posts by category but there is not a product shortcode to list in a similar way products by category.

    Hi,

    Do you mean display product category somewhere in content? This will be possible, but you must generate some design. For us and for many people it's unnecessary. When more people will request this feature then we will make it.

    Yes that's what I meant. It will work just like the Post Shortcode but instead I'd be able to choose the category for it to list all the products in that category on the page, with a 'Read More' link to the individual product details.

    I suppose in the meantime it will just be me who needs this feature. My client has over 100 products and I need for their staff to be able to simply enter products in their respective categories where the page automatically displays the products per the category I designate. It's more a catalog and product showcase.

    Of course I cannot wait for this feature to be requested by others as it may not be. Can you PM me a cost to do this please?

    Patrik, a workaround that would produce the same results would be to use the portfolio to display the portfolio per category using the shortcode. The only problem with this is that there is no 'read more' feature to go to the single portfolio post as it only links to an image, video or external link but no post. Would this way be easier for you to add the feature to go to the single portfolio post?

    Hi Patrik,

    Any news on how soon the product feature will be added? I bought the theme to demo for a client and the client is ready to move forward so I'll need that feature soon.
