I deleted the 'uncategorized grid portfolios' category from the Grid Portfolio Categories and when I refreshed my live site, somehow the CSS had disappeared. I can see the file intact in FTP so I know it wasn't deleted or anything... but somehow it disappeared from being seen on my site. Have you seen this before?? How do I fix this???
Okay so I reset the settings in the dashboard... and somehow that fixed the css issue. I would highly recommend the developers over there run through this same scenario (delete that category listed above) and see if it can recreate the issue I had where the css broke. Not sure what the issue is there but that about gave me a heart attack for a good solid half hour :P
Additional weirdness - now when I try to make the grid order 'random' it also breaks the CSS. Very surprised I'm seeing something like this with a pay theme - hopefully this is fixed soon...
I'm experiencing this same CSS issue while doing a large number of completely random things:
If I change the display of grid portfolio items from 15 to 20 - it's fine. If I change it to 25, it breaks. If I delete two files from a category, the 20 no longer works. If I change it back to 15 it works again.
I'm also unable to see newly-made grid portfolio items anymore on the grid.
I would really appreciate some kind of response to these problems, because this is adding several hours of additional work and to be perfectly honest it's quite frustrating.
I'm just some other person who bought the theme, but maybe this could help you: if you delete a category you must make sure each portfolio item is still directed to a still existing category, if that isn't the fact you come across problems
if that doesn't cause your problems, i hope one of the team will help you solve the issue, success with your site :)
Thanks for the tip - but no that isn't the issue I'm having. I'm a professional front-end developer by trade and even I have never seen the types of issues going on with this theme. I truly hope someone over there at AIT gets back to me soon as this is my portfolio site and it is very important to me that these problems get rectified as soon as possible. Cheers!
Hi LadyRaine, I tried to reproduce all what you wrote above. You are right with error when grid portfolio items (or just one of them) are not assigned to least as one category. All other problems you wrote I can't reproduce, all works fine when I work around it. I sent problem to our developer and he look at it. Thanks, Ivan.
I'm wondering if it would be most beneficial for one of your developers to have FTP access to my site so you can recreate my problems within my site the way I've been seeing them just so you can see what's going on. If so, let me know how to pass along that information ASAP please.
Just having a look through everything now (as I noticed that you'd replied to someone else's question with the response that there had been an updated released this morning) and it looks like the update you released fixed my issues as well! Yay!!
