Hi, we are translating into German and Spanish. All works fine except for the menus. Every time we edit a translated widget or post/page translation, the menu the Theme Locations break. See attached image. So the German menu appears on English page, for example.

Website loads slow

Hello,

I just upgraded to the latest version of Arctica, thinking maybe that would help, but the theme is still loading really slowly. The website tool http://tools.pingdom.com/ grades it at slower than 97% of websites out there, taking up to 24 seconds to fully load. I can't have this happening for my client.

Is this because of the theme? Because of the slideshow? Different tools tell me that it's taking a long time to load images, and other ones say it's because of javascript requests.

I already have WP Super Cache installed. What else can I do to load the site faster? Thank you.

Icon Menu not rolling to different colors

I have purchased the Arctica theme using version 2.20 and I cannot seem to get the Icon Menus working properly. I realize the image is one image with two seperate colors. When I hover over the image it simply turns black and does not do like the demo.

What am I missing. The site is at www.fishingob.com with a password of fishing123

I've followed instructions of my site and updated my WP version to 3.5.1.
When the update was "successful" I found out, that my site was gone.
I restored the site now, but want to eventually update my WP and need assistance.
I also would love to update my theme to the newest version but am scared if something will get destroyed again.
Please explain to me a safe way of updating theme and WP.

Problem with Icon Menu CSS

There seems to be a problem with the CSS for the Icon Menu.
If there are 5 items in this section, as per the demo, it displays fine, But if there are only four items It doesn't display correctly on iPhone and on resizing computer browsing screen. In this instance the image is no longer centered and the text overflows to the right, as if the frame is too large

Revolution Slider & Homepage sidebar not showing up

Hello - great theme! I have 2 issues that have been driving me crazy all day.

1) On my home page www.southfloridafirearms.com I can't figure out how to get the Revolution slider to show up. I've selected it from the theme settings as the preferred slider, but it's not showing up there. On the other hand, I've enabled it on a test page and there it is: http://southfloridafirearms.com/news/ ... any advice on how to get it up on my home?

2) On the home page as well, I have editted the widgets that are supposed to show up in the sidebar, but don't see them. What am I doing wrong?

I'm about a medium level wordpress user, not a professional coder. Any help would be appreciated.

Custom CSS does not save anymore, How to use a next gen image gallery

I have two issues with the page:
I cannot save the custom css via wordpress anymore - after i click on save options the animation does not stop, the css is not updated, i can use reset options or make it empty then it saves ... it has 67 lines and dreamweaver does not show any errors? Can i update it in any other way?

Secondly i would like to use nextgen Gallery - i have included it here: http://www.kenyaexpeditions.com/wp/?page_id=5525
but when you click on one image you will get two popups over each other, the nextgen one and the normal one. How can i disable the artica popup for these gallery images?

Google Maps API Sensor True/False

I am given an error that the API requires the Sensor parameter to be set either to true or false.

A couple of Arctica questions - portfolio and background image

I'm having a coup,e of issues with Arctica....

1. Portfolio... I've got it working (1 col, description 2), but am having the following issue - portfolio image size is set to 600 x 400 - but image being previewed is enlarged/cropped version of image (file is sized to 600 x 400) - should be displayign full frame as it does when clicked on

2. Background... no matter what I try, I haven't been able to get background image to display on a single page, or throughout the site... same goes for background colour and skin settings in general... please contact me directly and I will send you login to back end to review...

Hello,

I really like your template but I'm getting crazy trying to use it... It seems so easy but in fact it is so hard to install as simple things as a "photo gallery". On this page : http://le33tour.fr/2013/02/decouverte-de-st-martin/, I wanted to add a gallery in my blog's article. I did one (through "Insert media" and "Create Gallery"), but then if I click on one of the picture of the gallery, the picture get open in a new window and not in a nice slide gallery as in your demo (Menu Features > Picture Gallery). I want the reader to be able to go from a picture to another once they click on one of the picture.

Another thing is that I created the revolution slider but the wide size of the picture isn't fitting the size of my website... I tried to change the parameters, but nothing is happening. What am I suppose to do ?

Arctica Theme Anything Slider does not fully appear in Safari 5+ or 6+

Having intermittent problems with the Anything Slider not appearing correctly. Troubleshooting it has been difficult because it does not always display incorrectly. It appears this problem is in Safari browsers only. We are not running any security plugins in WordPress. I am uable to locate the newest version of Arctica (If someone can point out where I get that, it would be greatly appreciated)

Upgrading to WP 3.5 - Theme breaks in places

I cannot use the visual editor, or cahnge some settings in the admin since I upgraded to WP 3.5, I've made a lot of changes to the theme so cannot simply replace all of the files. I also think the theme is very slow loading - I'm guessing there is an update for these problems but I need to know what files have changed to save me losing all my changes.

My current theme version is 1.18

Hello, how do you achieve this nice effect on icon menu, with the icons being first white on grey background and then blue on white backgroun when overed?

Translation for Arctica Theme

Hi,

We have Artica Version 1.12 installed and are doing a Danish version of the site. Have updated wp-config.php with: define('WPLANG', 'da_DK'); but there are still lots on English phrases on the site including month names and month abbreviations.

I downloaded the latest version of Arctica so we have the arctica.pot file and we can translate this in to Danish, however this does not fix the issue with month names. Have tested on Twenty Eleven and Twenty Twelve themes and these both display the translated month names.

Is there anyway I can force the theme to use the Danish month names?

Also can I use the current artica.pot file on Artica Version 1.12 without having to update to the latest theme?

Header Background Image Not Showing?

Is there something that needs to be changed in the stylesheet to get this to show up?

Despite specifying a background image in General Settings -> Header Tab -> Header Appearances -> Background Image, nothing shows up.

I have noticed that the stylesheet has the following code for the header:

#header { width: auto; height: auto; padding-bottom: 35px; position: relative; z-index: 1; background: none;}

Should the background parameter be changed to point to a variable that is stored in the database? Having the background set to "none" is obviously not going to show anything.

How can I fix this? It also means that wherever a different background header image is specified on different pages, it never shows up either.
